在得到我肯定的答复后。丫头在电话那头激动的又叫又跳，难以置信的录取。

格林内尔学院(Grinnell College）是位于美国爱荷华州的私立文理学院是一群新英格兰的有前瞻目光的人士建立起来的一所文理学院。
建校于1846，Grinnell被《美国新闻与世界报道》成为全美最好的11所文理学院之一。《新闻周刊》曾称 Grinnell是各方面综合起来最好的文理学院。据估计Grinnell是获得捐款最多的文理学院（$1.26 billion）。该校强调学生自主学习以及师生间的反馈，鼓励学生自主选课。学校师生比例为1:9，学生和教师有很多交流机会，学生受到的关注也更多。大约60%的学生参加了国外学习项目。社会、政治的意识以及对国际社会的关注，严谨的教学，主动自主的学习氛围和全球化的意识，使得Grinnell在文理学院中独树一帜。

Congratulations! On behalf of Grinnell College, I am delighted to offer you admission to the Class of 2017. You have every reason to be proud of this achievement – you were chosen from among one of the largest and most talented groups of Early Decision applicants that Grinnell has ever seen.

For the past few weeks, the Office of Admission has been carefully reviewing applications in an effort to find those students who can both benefit from, and contribute to, this vibrant community of scholars. As you have come to learn, Grinnell is a special place where students are expected to assume tremendous responsibility for their education and for the conduct of their daily lives. We have every confidence that you will not only meet this challenge, but thrive in this environment. Please know that you will not walk this path alone. In the coming months, you will come to know faculty members, staff members, and classmates who will accompany you on this journey. It is inevitable that, as much as you will be shaped by your time at Grinnell, so too will Grinnell College be shaped by your presence here. It is fair to say that neither will ever be quite the same again.

We eagerly await your arrival on campus in August 2013. Until then, you will periodically receive updates from us concerning important events and information pertinent to your enrollment at Grinnell. Of particular interest may be the two programs that we will hold for admitted students on April 8th and 22nd.  Additional details will be forwarded to you as they become available, but these receptions are a wonderful opportunity for you to meet future classmates from throughout the United States and around the world.
